Hello from Ghana,

Siham is in MI for a couple more weeks before rejoining Gary in Ghana. Please pray for her time with family, friends and safe travel.

Our neighbor, who recently accepted Christ, is continuing to attend church. We mentioned a couple of men a few weeks ago who expressed interest in seeking God. Gary continues to grow in relationship with them. He and the young man, who met and worked on a local jobsite, are currently working together and studying the bible daily. This Muslim man has expressed his desire to accept Christ a number of times. God is opening his heart and mind. Please pray with us for “Good Soil”, a true “turning” and for “full devotion” to Our Lord Jesus. Usually by now, we would have invited him to accept Christ but we feel that we should wait. “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone come to repentance.”

In Acts 2, Peter addresses the crowd in Jerusalem after Jesus has risen. Half way through it he says, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord will be saved.” At the end of his talk “the people were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘brothers, what shall we do?‘” Later in Acts, we see others say, “Brothers, what shall we do to be saved?” We are seeking to be sensitive and alert to the Lord’s timing as the foundation of truth and solid understanding of the gospel takes root and grows.

 Not just decisions, but disciples.

The number of neighbors and people from the community who are waiting for the home study to begin continues to grow. Some are educated and traveled and some have had little experience outside of their own community. We seek to Prepare – Connect – Disciple and Duplicate. (Please see our strategy on the website) We are currently preparing and connecting. Please pray and prepare the ground with us, and pray for our wisdom, discernment, effectiveness and protection.  We have communicated with a number of ministry organizations serving here in Ghana and are praying about how and whom God would like us to help. Please pray for the protection of those whom God is connecting us. “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring Lion looking for someone to devour.”

We had to make a trip back to the states to process out of Agape and take the necessary steps to establish Jasmund Outreach as a non-profit ministry. Please pray with us for the turn around time on the 501(c) (3) status from the IRS. We have taken the next step of faith in the journey. On paper, it would seem, that the flow of resources and provisions have been delayed through this transition, but God has provided everything, in everyway! Your prayers, gifts and sacrifices have met our needs and encouraged us greatly. God has provided for our flights, this months rent and expenses. We cannot adequately express our gratitude to you. We believe we can say with confidence and all humility, that your gifts are making a difference in this world for Jesus.

May God bless you.  “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in everyway so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:10-11

We Go…because He came!
We Give…because He gave!

Dear Friends, thank you for everything.

In Him,

           Gary & Siham
